Hey looking for advice. I'm running a ZyXEL Q100 in bridge mode over to my router for a few years. Recently Centurylink has done some upgrades in my area. I guess I'm now able to get a bonded connection, I'm not super familiar on DSL technology. I'm currently on 40Mbps down and like 5 up or something. I had no issues for about 2 years but lately I've had a lot of connection slow downs and drops. I've had a tech come out twice and they don't find any issues with the local infrastructure. I highly doubt it's the modem for several reasons, but obviously I understand anything is possible.
Regardless, a Centurylink tech told me that I could now pay $60 for a tech to come out and see if I could be upgraded to bonded pair, which would raise my speed to something like 90 down without raising my monthly bill. I don't believe the Q100 can support this, as the Centurylink supported modems page shows it as VDSL2 - 40Mbps.

My question is whether or not I should do this and if so, do I need to upgrade the modem? Any advice is appreciated.
