Searching the web and I can’t find the answer.
We have a UPS, so when the power goes out, the modem and router stay connected to the internet. But...internet goes down at about 2 hours into each power outage.
It seems there is a battery backup somewhere in the system, but the ISP only has enough for 2 hours.
FCC has battery backup times for cell towers (8 hours); are there rules on how long the ISP needs to keep broadband running in a power outage?
