[Qwest] AZ initial DSL install done, when can I order better service?

My primary question: how long after my install should I wait until I can ask for a higher data rate for my service? background (and red herrings): So when I was buying this house CL told me they could provide service to my address. Fortunately, they were correct :D What I missed during the house inspection is that there has never been service installed - I didn't look for the NID. My fault. I placed an order, the tech found no drop, and recommended I do my own conduit from my place to the pedestal, and to double check the plan with the local lead engineer. Done and done. (conduit not required, they do direct burial here too, but... tractors etc :P) About a month after getting the conduit in I finally got my visit from the tech again this week and he pulled the wire and all was connected, and tested well for what the order-taker signed me up for (1.2/.8 I think). The tech said there are only myself and the neighbor on a 25-pair line we share. Using their address at the CL website they are offered "Up to 10" or "up to 7" Mbps. So I assume we only have copper connections all the way in to the CO. Modem says my line length is a mile (5280 feet), and after 2.5 days it's already bumped the connection up to 2.272 Mbps downstream. I assume the 10Mbps is bonded, as a tech visit is required. So that is probably better for me (higher upload speed too). So, back to my question. When can I ask for/order more than I have? Do I wait for the customer website to show my installed service, or do I call in as soon as I want to?
