Problems with CL and YouTube, Wildly Fluctuating Download Speed.

So I just signed up for CL and have had them for about 4 days now. I'll start with saying this: the customer service is a joke. I have had bad experiences with TelCos in the past but CL took it to a whole new level. I was supposed to have braided wire installed and ready to go when I moved in. Tech never came. They were able to get out today and turned out I wasn't even sent the right modem, luckily the office had sent a spare (C2000T). I was never told that there was a $60 install fee, which they waived luckily, but it took 3 departments and an hour to get it as well as the price of the service fixed. Anyway, with the standard service I was paying for 40/5 and getting 25/5. Not happy. The new braided connection seemed good at first, but when everyone started coming home this afternoon I guess things got a little crowded and I saw speeds anywhere from 15 to 36Mbps. The upload was a constant 16-18Mbps however (paying for 40/20). There also seems to be a big issue with buffering and YouTube with CL. My previous ISP (Charter) never had any issues with YT, however it seems I'm not alone and this is common with CL. I'm not even going crazy and trying to stream 4K video; it'll sit there and buffer while playing 360p. Sometimes it just stops buffering and I'll have to start the stream over again. And better hope that no one tries to do anything on the same network, because even something as simple as checking email interrupts the stream. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? I'm about ready to take all this equipment back and cancel it while I have 30 days and just got with the local Cable Co, but I haven't heard great things about them either.
