A funny thing happened when I visited CenturyLink's Static IP Tool. I visit this now and then to see if anything has changed in their IPv6 situation. And something did change: clicking the button labeled "IPv6rd IP Addresses" now gives me an alert box that says:
"Congratulations! You qualify for static native IPv6 service. Benefits for upgrading your IPv6RD static IPs to native IPv6:..."
It then goes on to state the benefits. However, I can only click a link to order a new modem or cancel, and I never see my IPv6rd addresses. Also, the part about needing a new modem is ambiguous as to whether it means for 6rd or native. I use my modem in transparent bridge mode with a capable router, anyway, so I shouldn't have a modem issue.
I have contacted tech support to ask about this twice, and after the typical lengthy back and forth, while the rep asks higher tiers, etc., they tell me there is no support yet for native. They cannot explain this new msg and why it differs what they know.
Does anyone here know anything about this, or how get native addresses if indeed they do support it?
P.S. I have attached a screenshot of the message.
