Every 2-3 minutes I am losing my connection to the C1000A.
Not the DSL mind you, the modem itself.
The C1000A claims my internet is good and never drops, the lights all stay green.
However all computers lose their connection to the internet for 20-30 seconds, then it comes back. On the other hand, the computers themselves are not losing connection to each other.
I have my office network (gig-e switch, NAS, desktop, and printer) connected to one port, an Airport Express base station connected to another, a security DVR connected to the 3rd, and finally a Lowes IRIS home automation system connected to the 4th.
When my internet drops, all of these machines can see each other and ping each other just fine; however not only does the internet go down, the router page at 192.168.0.1 is unavailable and does not respond to pings.
Actiontec went in circles for an hour and a half with no resolution, the tech basically seemed like all he knew how to do was anything that was pre-scripted. To me this looks like an internal hardware failure between the chip that handles the ethernet switch and the processor that runs the router software.
Any ideas or other possibilities? I have removed the other devices one at a time to see if its anything triggered by a bad device, but the problems continue. I have the latest firmware, etc. I am beyond frustrated.
