I am moving soon and signed up for 40/20 DSL service from CenturyLink at the new address. It looks like I am pretty lucky to have these speeds available.
I have always had service through a cable company, so this is my first experience with DSL for my home. When using DSL modems as friends/family members houses, it seems that the DSL modem has a built-in router and wireless access point.
Is there any way to turn off the routing and wireless features of the DSL modem provided by CenturyLink?
I have an ASUS router flashed with Tomato firmware and I do not want to run into a double-NAT issue. I just want to be able to plug my router into the DSL modem and have it issue my router a Public IP address (just like what happens with my cable modem).
