I am posting on behalf of my neighbor, who has Century Link (CL) service for Internet. There is a CL router that serves as the WiFi hub. (This is the first such router I've seen without antennae. I guess they are internal.)
In both of our Android phones, the CL access point (AP) appears in the list. That's the only good news. When we try to connect and enter the 8-digit router key, it takes some time and eventually gives an error message about Authentication failure. All it will do is "Save" the entry, but it won't connect. Uggghh !!
This is frustrating because I never had this problem with my Comcast service and my TP-Link router as AP.
Someone please tell me there's a simple solution to this show-stopper. :(
