Well my beloved C3000A died. I called Tech Support and since the C3000A was still under warranty they are sending a free replacement. I was told I'd be getting the C3000A's "Big Brother", the C3000Z. Really, is it the C3kA's "Big Brother"?! I know that the C3000A is a $300 modem and the C3000Z a $150 modem. This is for Gigabit Fiber Service.
Their justification was that they have found problems with the C3000A that created security issues and other problems and are no longer "dispensing" them and are replacing them with the BETTER C3000Z's. I have a bad feeling about this. I have spent sometime searching and found nothing discussed about this. Is it true, or are they feeding me a line of BS?!
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you . . .
