SERIOUS Problems with new FTTH install.

It's been a number of years since I've had anything to do with CL. When a salesperson came knocking and offering their FTTH service, I decided to give them a try. After missing the first install, rescheduling it a month out and then missing the install date AGAIN, they finally managed to get it installed and boy, what a piece of garbage. Nothing work. Netflix times out as well as dozens of other sites I visit. I can watch the status bar of my browser stopping on all sorts of URLs it can't talk to. I thought it might be the CL box they gave me so I configured my Cisco 1941 for their service and it's exactly the same. Mind you, this isn't Netflix throttling, this is Netflix can't be reached. NNTP transfer rates are abysmal, which is why I got the service in the first place. I'm thinking I'm just going to call up and tell them to come get their shizz because I've been around and when you call front-line customer service at an ISP and say "my netflix broke" they'll do three hours of B.S. but will never examine their own network. There is clearly something wrong here and it feels like even though I have a routable address assigned to my device, everything that happens is proxied though some sort content filter that isn't working correctly. Netflix.com doesn't even work? What kind of massive failure could cause that? And how would one convey to customer support that it isn't my gear doing it? As a matter of fact, my Cox service is still active so I grabbed the ethernet cable from my modem, unplugged the centurylink cable from my router, plugged the cox cable into it and voila! Netflix works again. If there is a more clear cut case of "it's not me, it's you" I haven't seen it. Anybody else experiencing any problems with this new FTTH service in the Scottsdale area? Honestly, based on previous experiences with CL customer service, I don't think I'm even going to call repair. I'm just going to tell them I don't need it anymore and thank you very much. That's how bad "tech" support has become. Sigh...
