We have CL 20Mbs DSL. We are using a C1000Z bridged to an Orbi and that combo seems to work great. However, the C1000Z is old and may be overheating, causing disconnects. We had a CL tech to the house and he checked the line, and he noticed the C1000Z seemed to be having problems. He recommended replacing the C1000Z with a C1100Z. I tried to order the C1100Z from CL, but they said they will ship whatever works with our service, and can't guarantee we'll get the C1100Z so I didn't order it.
Now I'm wondering if I should even bother with the C1100Z since we don't need the WiFi in it, as the Orbi works great and I'd bridge it and disable the WiFi in it. We just need a good modem for the 20 Mbps CL service.
What do you suggest?
