I have a couple different DSL modems (C1000a, Zytel). I currently have the C1000A in bridge mode connected to my Linksys 1900 with dd-wrt. If I have a modem in bridged mode, does it really matter what modem I use? Meaning, will I get better/worse performance on my DSL line depending on what modem I use to bridge? Or, since I'm using the router to handle anything, does that make the modem differences insignificant?
I'm curious because I've tweaked my QOS settings to improve my latency and prevent the line from being consumed (bufferbloat) but I still get dropped packets.
Thanks!!
