Hey all. Took a Gamble and switched from cable 50/10 to a CTL bonded 140/20 plan hoping to save that $30 a month.
Got service installed, and on a C2100T got advertised speeds when wired, but only 10 down/20 up on 2.4ghz wireless and 30/20 on 5ghz. I know CTL won't guarantee any wireless speed so I tried bridging with my Netgear r7000, and oddly got the same speeds. After 2 hours with CTL tech support with base setup they say it's a modem issues and send me a C3000Z, but same result.
I've used wifi analyzer to find best channels and adjust some settings, but haven't seen any real difference. I can't hard wire the house so any recommendations for those that had similar issues would be awesome. Trying to make this work because it's 60 for this plan with price for life or $120 for the 300mgbs plan from Cox. devil vs devil.
