So, using some posts from this forum I bypassed my centurylink modem/router that came with my fiber service and blasted the internet directly out of my asus router
(here's the threads I'm talking about)

So, two weeks ago I decided to upgrade my speed from 40mbs to 100mbs, and nothing happened. After some complaining, they sent a tech out who brought a new CL modem/router, and got it working to 80mbs. I tried moving the WLAN back over to my asus, but it still only gives me a wireless connection of 35mbs. I've tried unplugging everything, has this happened to anyone else?
thanks!!!
