call me ignorant, but I just found this software today. http://dslstats.me.uk/features.html Thumbs up to this British guy Eric Chapman for this neat software. It's a relatively light software that feels very 1990s without all the spyware and bloatware of freeware today. It goes into your modem through your LAN and asks your modem for line statistics at interval of your choice (default is 30 seconds, I use 2 minutes) and plots it out on graph. (default graph view is 2 hrs but change it to suite your purpose) First you go into http://192.168.x.x modem user interface setup "remote Telnet" password. The remote can be disabled and it will still be accessible from within your local network but closed to access from the outside. This is where you set the password either way. It's best to set remote access disabled in order to minimize the likelihood of someone getting into your gateway from where they can get your personal information. I've found the portal quirky and glitchy with CenturyLink modem stuff. You may need to re-enter the reenter the password each time you mess with the modem configuration page.
