In a rural residential area about 2 minutes from town, stuck with 3mb connection with centurylink. Sunday I had a notification of my account advertising 7 and 12 mb connections. I signed up right away and received a confirmation email and everything. The next morning the options for faster speeds were gone.
I called their support and had 0 luck, just a CSR trying to get me to pay $70 a month for 4mb service. I asked for the number to my local office and they gave me a number to a local satellite company that said it had nothing to do with centurylink. I did some more research into who I should call about centurylink service in grants pass, looks like it might be a sub contractor in southern oregon called hunter communications. I've seen hunter's trucks servicing lines in the area but they are also a direct tv retailer so who knows what they are doing.
help, i miss my 150mb xfinity connection i had back in california
