I have Century Link Fiber 1,000 mbps upload and 1,000 mbps download. I seem to only be able to speedtest my connection over 900mbps for my download speed when I use the Century Link speed test utililty. Every other speed test I use depending on the city within my state I can't get over 300mbps or sometimes over 90mbps. I thought this was very odd, also when I am using youtube I buffer when I select 1080 HD. This doesn't always happen but it does happen. I don't think this ever should happen on my connection unless it's on the side of youtube, which I highly doubt. When I use Twitch.tv I get this as well, so I thought it may be the streamer I am watching. So I tried to stream multiple different streams, and they were the big streamers with the same thing. It buffers once in a while, which never should happen with my speed of internet.
I notice when I play a couple different games which I play a lot ( CS GO and PLayer Unknown Battlegrounds) I all of a sudden don't register my shots on certain servers. I have no way of knowing which servers they are because they are through ESEA and I don't have access to their ips, same with Playerunknown. I do know that they are on different servers because my ping is different on each game. Since I just brought up ping, I have noticed sometimes when I am on a Seattle server for ESEA ( CS GO ) I have over 30 or 40 ping. I am 3 hours drive from Seattle, I know I am in a seattle server because the people I am playing with are also in the state of Washington and they have between 11 and 20 ping. I can't figure out why I am getting over 30 and 40 sometimes. I understand what routing is, but I have seen 13 ping there before while playing.
Also I just did this line quality test here on the website, can anyone tell me what the red is below? I believe its my jitter, or loss or packet loss to Virginia. This I see is an Amazon server, which is who hosts the servers for Playerunkown Battlegrounds. Is this the issue I am having??? I have done 3 tests, the last test is after I registered here on the site. All 3 tests have shown red between 31% and 71% for ip addresss 54.239.111.96 which is State/Region: Virginia
