Last weekend my DSL experienced frequent downtimes. I called CL and the first tech told me they found errors with my modem. I then tried another modem and experienced the same issues so I called back and they scheduled a tech to come out to my house. A few hours after that call, my DSL became very stable. The next day the tech came out and tested the line and said everything was fine. He said the initial modem excuse was BS. He had no idea what cleared up the issues but assumed someone did something simple at the home office. Last night I experienced issues again and now my DSL is slower than it should be. I ran CL's data line test and it reported...
Modem Ping Fails
We sent a signal to your modem and it failed to respond. The cause could be something as simple as your modem not having power or it not being correctly connected to the phone jack.
