Hi, new to the forums and not too tech savvy. But my centurylink modem/router (actiontec q1000) is dropping connections a lot, lots of buffering both ethernet and wifi (games, videos, etc on ipads, rokus, android phones and tablets), and when trying to change setting in modem get a pink screen and error message 400-bad request (doesn't matter browser). Centurylink said I need new modem and will blindly send me whatever. After reading some reviews, I want to pick what I'm spending my money on.
I was given a list of modem/routers that will work for me:
Actiontec C2000A, Actiontec Q1000, Actiontec Q2000, Actiontec V2000H, Zyxel C1000Z, Zyxel C1100Z, Zyxel Q1000Z, Zyxel Q100
Wondering if any of these are good for us (12 mbps plan now, might upgrade in future). We stream all tv over 2 rokus (1 wireless other ethernet), have multiple people using wifi over many devices (can only have 1 or 2 connected now without slowing speed to a crawl).
Like I said I'm not too tech savvy, but I've heard about getting a better router and bridging--would that work?
I appreciate any and all help!
