Been using 20/2 bonded Centurylink service at my house about 2 years (in SW FL). Had a Cisco modem and was having issues with sync and timeout every few days. Bought a C2000T 2 months ago. Since then service has been even worse. Modem will show it has signal and connected to the internet, but will timeout every few hours (or minutes). I have literally had 20 visits from 20 different technicians from century link. Modem has been replaced twice, my drop cable twice, internal wire tested, line tested, terminal tested, Signal to noise, etc. Techs don't talk to each other, no one knows what is going on. When it rains it gets worse (asked them to see if open circuit). No one can give me a straight answer. Sometimes it will go up and down every 5 minutes. Tech support says it works, I swear up and down (I try with a direct cat5 connection) it doesn't. Some techs see CRC errors and some say it looks fine. I have asked for supervisors, engineers, all I get are the techs doing the same diagnostics and tell me they don't know what to do. I got a second c2000t last week and it seemed to be working better for a few days, then poof (it was an older firmware and auto-upgraded, I heard that sometimes causes an issue). Tech support on the phone just wants run the same basic tests every time. I have no other alternate services except cellular. Any suggestions or guidance of what to ask for would be appreciated. Thanks!
