Internet (not modem) keeps dropping

Hey all! I have 20M/768K DSL and Prism TV - have had it for almost 3 years. Over the past day or two the internet has become unusable. When it happens the internet just dies - I can't even ping 8.8.8.8 - not even from the modem. Then it will eventually come on and work for 15-30 minutes and then die again. When this happens the Prism TV stream is completely unaffected. The DSL link is not dropping, and I'm not getting any 30 min CRC/FEC errors. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support doing the whole "reboot the modem" and "re-seat the phone line" stuff that did nothing. They scheduled a tech to come out (soonest was next week) and said they will try to escalate it to this weekend. They think its a line issue between the house and the "node". I'm sure it's not an internal wiring problem because I ran a new CAT6 from the NID straight to the modem jack a couple months ago. This will be the 3rd tech visit in a month!! First my DSL was dropping every day around 6PM for a month. After multiple calls I got a new modem and the tech switched me to a different "shelf/card" at the "node". 2nd visit - Prism DVR box rebooting itself randomly. Long story short, I don't think this is a line issue at all or my TV would be cutting out and DSL would be re-training right? Any suggestions on anything else to try? It's going to be a long weekend without internet...
