As my wife and I have cell phones that work just fine it looks like as it stands the there is no viable promo offer for me.
When I begin the checkout process it says I can either Lease for 7.99/month or Purchase the "Advanced Wireless Network Modem" for $99.99
Also the installation is $59.99 "For one computer or device"
or
$99.99 for 2-5 computers or devices.
My question is...
If I currently am using an SB6183 with an Asus RT-AC3200 do I really need whatever they are selling?
My understanding is the fiber cable is run to a box that is attached to my house then an Ethernet cable goes from that into my home. So can't I just plug in my own wireless router into that Ethernet run and choose PPPOE?
Thanks for clarifying because their sales agent said I would actually need a phone jack on the inside of home house to hook their modem into because that's what carries the Fiber signal.
